BPO has expanded its simulation toolbox with Digimat

BPO has expanded its simulation toolbox with Digimat. Digimat is a software which can be used to perform simulations in which the orientation of glass fibres is embedded in the calculations. This means that more accurate simulations can be performed for glass fibre reinforced plastic components. The orientation of glass fibres can have a major influence on the strength and stiffness. And it is determined by the flow direction of the plastic material when it is injected into the mould.

The new software adds value to projects in which injection moulded parts made of glass fibre reinforced plastics are developed or optimised.
