BPO has been using Marc software as its primary FEM software for many years. Recently, Dytran, from the same developer (Hexagon), has also been successfully implemented. This software is used, among other things, to simulate products filled with liquid, where the dynamic interaction between the product and its contents is of great importance. Examples include a drop test of plastic packaging or a consumer squeezing a product.
Dytran offers BPO clear added value, because complex situations are easier to model and reality can be approximated even more accurately. This provides extra insight into the behaviour of products and the possibilities for further optimisation.
In a future newsletter, we will highlight a great first practical case in which BPO has used Dytran.
Dytran has various capabilities and applications. For a full description of the software, please visit the Hexagon website.
